All of my murals are hand drawn and painted by me. Most are painted with interior eggshell paint and acrylic paint for finer details. Depending on the end goal and location some have been varnished with a UV protectant.
This collection of paintings was inspired by various natural elements. I am often inspired by nature whether I’m out taking walks, visiting parks, relaxing on the beach or in the mountains, and this collection reflects that inspiration. I love looking up through the trees during walks and seeing the textures, colors, and patterns created by the light shining through the canopy, or looking at photos of the ocean from above in tropical climates to see the various shades of blue and green, and looking up at the sky at cloud formations or looking at photos of the aurora borealis and the beautiful abstracts created by this natural phenomenon.
This series was inspired by the natural erosion of man made structures by natural elements. I was inspired after a trip to Puerto Rico where I was enamored by the worn layers on the old walls of the forts. This inspiration lead to various pieces inspired by snapshots of the weathered walls of the fort as well as further exploration of weathered materials found during further exploration.
This collection of water inspired paintings came about by looking at photos of the ocean from above in tropical climates to see the various shades of blue and green. The abstractions created by the different currents, depths, and colors of water in tropical climates are a source of constant inspiration for my work.
This series was inspired first by paintings I made for a donation to a fundraiser for a local cancer support organization, however, in 2018 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and the series grew to include work that I created through the process of diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
Though the collection is not as large as my painting work, I love experimenting with materials to create sculptural wall art and textured surfaces. I am hoping to build my skills and add more to this collection soon.
